Village of Ubly | The Huron County View huroncountypress VILLAGE OF UBLY September 1, 2016 Meeting Minutes The Village of Ubly Regular Meeting was held at 5:00 p.m. September 1, 2016, at the Bingham/Village Government Center. Attendance: President, Mark Brown; Trustees Adam Kain, Lola Brown, Larry Gornowicz, Susan Schrader, Barb Butch; Clerk Sue Messing, Treasurer Denise Gornowicz, Police Chief Dave Rothe, DPW Supervisor Carl Weber, and Water Administrator Lori White were all present. Trustee Victoria Rutkowski was absent and excused. There were 10 citizens in attendance. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Minutes: Minutes from the August regular meeting had been given to each person prior to the meeting and were reviewed at this time. The following changes were made: 1-2) under new business – (for voting for Gemini to have easement access and voting for President Mark Brown to sign the easement agreement) it should have read “6 yea’s, 1 nay, motion carried.” and 3) under president’s report it should read “… next meeting is August 15”. A motion was made by Larry Gornowicz to accept the August minutes with changes made, seconded by Lola Brown. All in favor, motion carried. Bills: August bills were reviewed. Discussion followed. A motion was made by Barb Butch to pay August bills. Susan Schrader seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried. Clerks Report: Sue had no news to report. Treasurers Report: Denise Gornowicz presented the treasurer’s report. DPW Report: DPW Supervisor Carl Weber presented his report. Police Report: Police Chief Dave Rothe presented his report. Trustees Reports: Given by Barb Butch, Lola Brown and Susan Schrader. Old Business: The village had been contacted a while back pertaining to the new warehouse being built on M19, and building of a road and bridge, the possibilities in helping to fund the new road and bridge etc. President Brown stated that the only thing the Village has agreed to was giving the Gemini group easement access to their retention pond. Much discussion followed. Barb Butch made a motion to opt out of participating in the development of the new road/bridge with the Gemini Group. Susan Schrader seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried. New Business: No new Business. Presidents Report: Mark Brown gave his report. Planning Commission: Jim Zulauf, Chairperson for the Planning Commission gave updates to council on what the planning commission has been working on. Public: 3 residents spoke. There being no further business, President Mark Brown entertained a motion to adjourn. A motion was made by Lola Brown to adjourn, seconded by Barb Butch. All in favor, motion carried.
