Thumb National Bank announces promotions
PIGEON - Thumb National Bank & Trust Co. has announced five promotions within the organization: Jeanine Comment to Executive Vice President and Systems Administrator, Benjamin Schott to Executive Vice President and Trust Officer, James McQueen to Senior Vice President and Agricultural Lender, Mark Stoeckle to Senior Vice President and Security Officer, and John James Hempton II to Vice President and Commercial Lender.
•Comment joined Thumb National Bank 23 years ago. She graduated from Davenport University and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. She attained a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) certification in 1997 and Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification in 1999 as well as numerous other technical certifications. Jeanine has been a lifelong resident of the Thumb area and has been an active member of the Pigeon Rotary Club having served as their President from 2004-2005.
•Schott started his banking career with Thumb National Bank as a co-op student in 1991. After graduating from Cass City High School, Ben received his BS degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University in 1997. Ben has attended the Perry School of Banking, Midwest Trust School and in 2006 became a Certified Financial Planner. Since 2006, Ben has taken over the CFO responsibilities in addition to heading the Trust Dept. Ben is very active in several community organizations and resides in Cass City with his wife, Tonya, and their 3 children.
•McQueen joined Thumb National Bank 20 years ago. Jim graduated from Michigan State University while growing up on a farm in the St. John’s, Michigan area. Jim has specialized in serving farm customers over his entire career.
•Stoeckle has been with Thumb National Bank since 1985. Mark graduated from Michigan State University in 1979 with a degree in agriculture. In addition to being an agricultural lender, Mark is head of bank security and specializes in appraisal review. Mark is a lifelong resident of the Thumb area and currently resides in Cass City with his wife and family. Mark currently serves as treasurer of the Michigan Farm Produce Insurance Authority.
•Hempton started with Thumb National Bank in August 2001 after graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Jim has attended the MBA/RMA Graduate School of Commercial Lending and is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Bay County. He has been a commercial lender in Bay City since 2004. Jim, his wife, and daughter reside in Essexville, Michigan.
