Arnold J. Gravelle

Arnold J. Gravelle, 82, Bad Axe, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.

He was born on November 7, 1926 in Bad Axe to the late Silas and Della (Coats) Gravelle.

He married Patricia Ann Bezemek on August 6, 1949 in the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2001.

He was a member of the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a son, David (Lori) Gravelle, Hawthorne, Fla.; two daughters, Mona (Roger) Erard, Bad Axe and Lorie (Russell) Booms, Bad Axe; a brother, Donald (Shirley) Gravelle, Trenton; eight grandchildren, Tonya (Adam) Hanselman, Ubly, Jodie (Jerome) Lovell, Rock Hills, S.C., Michael (Paula) Erard, Ubly, Alex Booms, Bad Axe, Hannah Booms, Bad Axe, Jesse Gravelle, Hawthorne, Fla., Victoria Gravelle, Hawthorne Fla. and Jennifer Gravelle, Hawthorne, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Matt Miller, Rock Hills, S.C., Shawn Miller, Rock Hills, S.C., Stephanie Erard, Ubly, Andrew Erard, Ubly and Alyssa Hanselman, Ubly.

Services were held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Kaufman Funeral Home, Bad Axe. Burial took place in Colfax Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Kaufman Funeral Home, Bad Axe.
