Warriors roll over Kingston

KINGSTON - North Huron scored early and often against the Cardinals as they racked up 539 yards of total offense and won convincingly 47- 8.
John Schramski led the way with 248 yards on 17 carries and ran for three TDs while Forrest Maxwell ran for 51 yards on 10 carries and one TD. Erik Dhyse was 10-of-16 passing for 154 yards and two TDs while Kevin Rice had 70 yards on four receptions.
The D was led by Tom Fischer and Dhyse each with nine tackles with Dhyse getting a pick for good measure. Mike Schramski, David Jimpkoski and Rice each had five tackles on the night with John Schramski adding three tackles and one interception.

BAY CITY - The Patriots lost a close one to the Cougars and missed out on a chance for their first win of the season.

For USA, Tyler Masse had 109 yards on 22 carries with a TD and two receptions for 39 yards with one TD. Tim Canfield had 68 yards on 10 carries with one reception for 58 yards and a TD while Jon Slack added a reception of 46 yards and one TD.
Cole Anker was 3-of-8 passing for 118 yards with one TD and one interception.
EPBP 41, Vassar 21
PIGEON - The Lakers took care of business at home as they improved their record to 2-1.
Quarterback Luke Voelker had 18 carries for 77 yards and ran for three TDs. He was also 10-of-12 passing with two TD and two 2 pt. conversions and threw for 170 yards. “He got pressured quite a bit more, but hit long pass plays when we really needed them,” said coach George Gardy.
Chris Rowe got in on the act with 125 yards on 17 carries with one rushing TD. He added 80 yards on five catches with one TD and one-two point conversion reception. Rowe also had an interception on defense. “It was as an outstanding a play as I’ve ever seen,” said Gardy.
Alex Jobes had one catch for a TD for 17 yards while Josh Goins added an interception and a reception. Mike Wolschlager had 53 yards on 11 carries.
“We switched up people this week,” said Gardy. “Jeremy Siewert started his first game at corner and did a really good job.”
Reese 42, Bad Axe 12 REESE - The Hatchets fell to the Rockets as they put up 21 points in the first quarter and never looked back.
Reese found the goal line two times in the third quarter as Bad Axe finally hit paydirt in the same frame. The loss drops the Hatchets to 1-2 on the season with Cass City in their sights this Friday.
Bad Axe managed 275 rushing yards on the night that came all on the ground. They gave the ball away on three fumbles and one interception.
Dillon Newell had 124 yards on 19 carries, while Derek Susalla ran for 104 on 20 carries and one TD. Mitch Roth had 36 yards on 10carries and one TD.
Defensively, Newell had 6 tackles while both Keaton Holz and Austin Harris each had four tackles.
