It's "Good Old- Fashioned Fun for the Whole Family!" - and the fair board already is busy working on plans for this year's event. In fact, the board met in January to begin making those plans. Board President Clark Brock said the group began working on the list of evening and grandstand events at that meeting.

The board met again this past week to draw up its tentative list of Grandstand Evening Events. Brock said a new feature could be Monster Truck Monday, followed with more events the next five evenings. The line-up penciled in is: Tuesday Horse Pulls, Wednesday Bump 'N' Run, Thursday Bull-A-Rama, Friday Night Truck Pulls, with Tractors Pulls rounding out the week on Saturday.

Looking ahead, next up will be such topics as 4-H and FFA activities such as livestock exhibits, as well as advertising and promotion. Brock said the board hopes to be finalizing most of its planning in March.

Huron Community Fair Board Meetings are conducted beginning at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Fair Board Office at the Huron County Fairgrounds in Bad Axe.
