Small changes can make a big difference

HURON COUNTY - "Steps to Budgeting for Families" - a class "Teaching you how small changes can make a BIG difference!" - will be conducted from 6 p.m. till 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the Huron Intermediate School District, located at 1299 South Thomas Road in Bad Axe.

The class, provided free of charge, is sponsored by Northstar Bank in partnership with Huron Intermediate School District and Great Start Collaborative. Free childcare and refreshments will be provided.

Presenters ask:

- "Have you ever found yourself questioning where your paycheck went?"

- "Do you want to save money but don’t know how to do more than you’re already doing?"

- "Do you worry about how you will be able to buy groceries, put gas in your car, or pay your electric bill before your next paycheck?"

They say, "If so, this class is for you!"

Attendees can learn:

• Options for feeding kids on the run while saving money;

• How to provide treats for children without breaking the bank;

• Free and low-cost activities in the area; and

• How to make paying bills a part of an every-day schedule.

Registration is required by Friday, Feb. 17 at 989-269-6406.
