HAROLD W. KRETZSCHMER

Harold W. Kretzschmer, 86 of Pigeon, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital, Bay City.

Born in McKinley Township on June 25, 1925, he was the son of Wesley and Pearl (Geiger) Kretzschmer of Pigeon. Harold attended Hayes School and Pigeon Rural Agricultural School. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Pigeon and the Caseville FOE 3690, and attended the Caseville Retirement Club. Harold was a resident at Country Bay Village and Country Gardens in Pigeon, where he moved in January, 2004. He farmed throughout his lifetime.

He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Damm of Pigeon and Carol (Raymond) Ruszala of Midland; one brother, Leon Kretzschmer of Caseville; one brother-in-law, Eldon Dietzel of Owendale; one sister-in-law, Gloria Kretzschmer of Caseville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, sisters, and inlaws, Joyce Dietzel, Janet Kretzschmer, Loren Kuebler, LeRoy and Jean Kretzschmer, Joyce Kretzschmer, Fritz Damm, and Dale and Lorraine Kretzschmer. The Funeral Service was conducted at Salem United Methodist Church, Pigeon, with Rev. Gloria Haynes, pastor, who officiated. Burial was in Grandlawn Cemetery.
