MARSP to meet Apr. 26

BAD AXE — The next meeting of the Huron County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel is 11 a.m. Friday at the Huron Area Technical Center in Bad Axe. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by the annual business meeting, a video presentation and election of officers. Donations will be collected for scholarship funds in memory of Marilyn Schneider, Huron County MARSP president who passed away last November. Pigeon Mom 2 Mom sale

PIGEON — On Saturday, the Mission/Outreach Ministry of Cross Lutheran Church will host a Mom 2 Mom sale from 9 a.m. till noon. Vendors, as well as individuals, will have items for babies, children, families and moms. Entrance fee is $1. Concessions will be available. There is still time to rent a table. Bad Axe Mom 2 Mom sale

BAD AXE — This year’s Annual Spring Mom 2 Mom Sale, sponsored by the Bad Axe Wrestling Team, will be from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Bad Axe Middle School. A food court will be available. Vintage Electronics Expo

MIDLAND — The Michigan Antique Radio Club’s “Vintage Electronics Expo” will be Saturday from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. at the Valley Plaza Resort, 5221 Bay City Road (just east of the US-10 interchange), Midland. MARC members will offer free appraisals, as well as sources for the repair and restoration of vintage radios. Attendees will have the opportunity to view and purchase antique radio sets and radio-related items of all types including repair parts. The show also will feature a swap meet, contest, silent auction and donation auction. The public is invited; admission tickets will be sold at the door. PIGEON — Scheurer Hospital announces a Free Health Fair from 7 a.m. till 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Scheurer Professional Center, 135 North Caseville Road, Pigeon. Blood Drive at Cross May 6

PIGEON — On May 6, Cross Lutheran Church, at 200 Ruppert Street in Pigeon, will host a Michigan Blood Drive from noon-6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Please call 989-453-3330 to schedule an appointment. Any healthy person 17 or older (16 with parent’s/guardian’s permission) who weighs 110 pounds or more may be eligible to give blood every 56 days. T’ACT auditioning for “Peter Pan” on Sunday and Monday

SEBEWAING — Thumb Area Community Theatre announces open auditions for “Peter Pan the Musical” from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday and Mondayat the USA High School Auditorium, 2203 Wildner Road, Sebewaing. (Attend one day only.) Auditions are open to men and women of all skill levels, ages 7 and older. Actors must prepare a 30-second to 1- minute monologue and 30-second to 1- minute a cappella song of their choosing. Call backs may be scheduled at the director’s discretion. Bring a current photograph. Minors will need parental signature/ permission at the audition. Be prepared to provide any dates you are unavailable May-August. Actors must be available for all performance dates, which are Aug. 1-4. There is a $30 participation fee due at first rehearsal.
