HURON COUNTY — If the day you’ve been dreaming about is approaching, plan to attend the 23rd annual Bridal Fantasies Show on Sunday to help you turn your wedding fantasies into blissful reality.

With more than two dozen vendors displaying their goods and services, you will find everything you need to plan your special day, from “Will you?”... to “I do”... to the final “Thank You.”

The Bridal Fantasies 2014 Show is sponsored by The Huron County VIEW, along with Above & Beyond Tuxedo and Services, of Deckerville, Sempliners Bride & Formal, of Bay City, and Captain John’s Catering and Event Center, of Bad Axe.

“Our 2014 Bridal Fantasies Show promises to be one of the largest in the past decade,” View Publisher Jane Vanderpoel noted. "We are excited to welcome several new vendors to our show this year, offering a wide variety of products and services. Joining our all-pro cast of vendors this year is Sempliners Bride & Formal, who will join with Above & Beyond Tuxedo and Services to present the ever-popular fashion show; Captain John's Catering and Events Center, Jennie's Personal Shopping Boutique, The Catering Connection, Cabin Confections, Amanda Warchuck-Thirty- One, Treats N Tutus, Chillers Grill, Hersel's on the Bay and Majestic Sky Link. Couples today have so many options to explore. They are sure to find everything from traditional to trendy new ideas with the vendors we have lined up this year. The excitement is building for a fantastic presentation for our brides-tobe."

Doors open at noon and the show will run to 4 p.m., allowing plenty of time to visit the booth of each bridal expert on your list, and also to view sample products and services offered. Brides are encouraged to bring their fiancé, bridal party members or friends and family members who are helping to plan their special day. Attendees are encouraged to come early to take full advantage of the experience.

Brides are eligible to win one of several door prizes, compliments of the bridal vendors, as well as the grand prize, a $300 gift certificate to be used at any vendor from the show.

New this year will be a “Mystery Bride” contest. A Huron County VIEW photographer who is documenting the event will publish a photo of one bride in the Jan. 23 edition of the VIEW. The “mystery” bride will win a special prize valued at $50 if she calls the VIEW by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 to identify herself.

Formal wear is one of the biggest decisions every bride must make. There are so many choices to reflect each bride’s personal style. No wonder the fashion show is always the highlight of the Bridal Fantasies Show. The fashion show begins at 2 p.m., with Above & Beyond Tuxedo and Services and Sempliners Bride & Formal modeling a huge selection of the most up-to-date fashions, not only for the bride, but also for the entire bridal party, as well as formal wear for mother of the bride or anyone wanting to look their best for the big event.

Admission to the Bridal Fantasies Show is only $3 per person and includes admission to the fashion show as well as refreshments. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
