Verona Hills announces new membership plans, directors

BAD AXE — At its golf club’s Annual Meeting of Stockholders on Dec. 7, Verona Hills Golf Club announced two changes in its membership plans and its new slate of officers and directors.

In keeping with the club’s youth movement announced last March, the stockholders overwhelmingly approved the expansion of its “Junior Member” upper age limit from age 20 through age 24.

“With this change, junior members from age 12 up to age 25, will have the rights and privileges of Family Members, including the right to play in club golf events,” said newly elected club president, Dan Clarkson,

As a result, school-age children, recent high school graduates and college students will be able to play golf at the course for a reduced rate.

In other action, Verona Hills announced that Business Memberships will now have the option of substituting greens fee certificates for any or all of its Associate Membership options. Business Memberships include one Certificate Member and up to three Associate Members, with nearly all of the golf privileges of the Certificate Member. “Some of our Business Member prospects,” said PGA Professional & General Manager Phil Gornowich, “requested this flexibility in customizing their Business Membership to their company’s situation. Our membership overwhelmingly thought this was a good idea.”

Verona Hills also announced its newly elected Officers and Board of Directors:

President, Dan Clarkson

Vice President, Al Patrick

Newly Elected Board Members: William Corsini (current Board Member), Brad Essenmacher, and Brad Goslin (3 year terms); and Keith Kaminski (2 year term)

Current Board Members: Drew Brining (Secretary), David Batzer, Tim Hallwood, Ryan Lowman, and Ryan Lackowski.
