Yageman is HATC Student of the Month


Faith Yagemen Faith Yagemen BAD AXE — The Huron Area Technical Center (HATC) announces Faith Yageman is HATC April Student of the Month.

Faith is an exemplary student and excels in all aspects of the Law Enforcement/Public Safety Program, as well as at her home school. Faith possesses the proper skill set to be successful in any aspect that she is placed. Faith has multiple options to choose from for the next level of her education. Whatever she chooses, the school will gain a great young lady and student.

Faith is involved in the North Huron Student Athletic Program, is an Honor Student and a Scholar Athlete. Faith is part of MSHAA and her school committee for student organizations. Faith uses her acquired skills and training in her community by taking part in the Huron County Sheriff’s Department Explorers Program and Huron County Explorers Firefighter program. Faith plans to receive her FFI license and be a Firefighter by the end of the school year. Faith is also a historian for FFA, where as she attends multiple leadership conferences and competes in State and National Competitions in the area of Agricultural Skills. Faith was one of five students who had the opportunity to go to Africa and represent FLAG (Foreign Links around the Globe).

Faith plans to attend Oakland University to obtain a Criminal Justice BA. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Faith plans to attend Wayne State University to achieve a Masters in Criminal Justice.

Faith was honored during a luncheon at the Main Street Café, located inside the Huron Area Technical Center, and receive a certificate of award.

Students are selected based on a variety of criteria including achievement in career technical education, outstanding attendance, enrollment status, CTE related extra-curricular activities, on-the-job-training placements, work experience and future CTE Program related education and/or employment plans.
