‘234, throw it out the door’



Consumers of the Huron County Behavior Health Drop-In Center organized a protest of a proposed change in the way the state pays for behavioral health care Friday as State Rep. Edward Canfield held office hours inside the Huron County Building. Mental health care providers, consumers and consumer advocates have been vocal in their fear that the change, outlined in Section 234 of the state’s Health and Human Services Budget, would dramatically impact the lives of those who need mental health care services.
