Hospital welcomes new physician

HARBOR BEACH - Harbor Beach Community Hospital announces the addition of Nicklaus Bradley, M.D., Family Medicine physician to the Medical Staff.

Dr. Bradley and his wife Holly are both from small communities. He grew up in Metamora and she was raised in Almont. Dr. Bradley said he likes the idea of being from a small town, and a small community.

“That is what we are used to,” he said.

Dr. Bradley was completing his residency at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland when he learned about the opportunity in Harbor Beach from Dr. Craig Adams who was providing Emergency Medicine services at Harbor Beach Community Hospital at that time.

Dr. Bradley said, “Dr. Adams talked the place up. He told me I should come to Harbor Beach and take a look”.

Dr. Bradley and his wife visited Harbor Beach in October 2016 and decided when it was time to move on to the next chapter in their lives that Harbor Beach would become their home. They are completing the necessary paperwork for the purchase of a home and look forward to living here in September of this year and are renting in Harbor Beach. In the future, they hope to start a family.

Dr. Bradley completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University and then was accepted into Medical School at the American University of Antiqua. He completed his training in the United States and finished his formal training as a resident in Family Medicine at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland. During his residency, he was selected as Chief Family Medicine Resident from 2015 to 2017.

Dr. Bradley said he went into family medicine because “he likes the variety” as he will be seeing newborn to geriatric patients. He is looking forward to providing care to newborns, their siblings, parents and grandparents and hopes to build his practice based on his desire to see all patients of all ages. Services will include acute and chronic care, allergy injections, diagnostic testing, men’s and women’s health services and minor surgical procedures in the office such as wart removal and ingrown toenail removal.

Dr. Bradley started his practice on Aug. 1, 2017 and believes in offering clinic hours that will be desired by working families, those with busy school activities and others who may need to wait for loved-ones to provide transportation outside of normal business hours.

His office hours are Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, he is accepting walk-In patients at the Harbor Beach Medical Clinic, 8970 Sand Beach Road, Harbor Beach.
