Huron Ave. (M-142), Bad Axe. Huron County Prosecuting Attorney Timothy Rutkowski will be the keynote speaker. The event will also feature Pastor Mike Beeler, Faith Gospel Tabernacle, Bad Axe, and Rev. Fr. Robert Howe (pictured here at a previous event), St. Hubert’s Parish, of Bad Axe and Rapson. Refreshments will be served at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1038 S. Van Dyke Rd. (M-53), Bad Axe, following the service. In case of inclement weather, the service will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

This Memorial Service is one of the many projects that Huron County’s Right to Life, a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization of diverse and caring people united to peacefully protect the precious gift of life, brings to the Huron County community. It is the goal of the local Right to Life chapter to work so that women facing untimely pregnancies will come to know that abortion isn’t the only option for them and their unborn child.

“Abortion isn’t the answer to anyone’s problem,” said Huron Right to Life organizer Marilyn Stacer.

In numerous events around the state, Michigan citizens will actively commemorate the 45th anniversary of two U.S. Supreme Court decisions.

The local group meets at the Huron County Senior Center on the first or second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

“We would like for you to join us,” said Stacer. “Please call ahead to confirm.”
