Kujat-Winkel united in marriage

Rebekah Lynn Kujat, of Flushing, and Joshua Winkel, of Grand Blanc, were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the home of the bride’s parents in Flushing, with Pastor Dan Babcock officiating at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Martin and Kathy Kujat, of Flushing. The groom is the son of Gerald and Evelyn Winkel, of Bad Axe.

Rebekah is a 2017 Spring Arbor University graduate. Joshua is a 2014 Spring Arbor University graduate.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown with a strapless neckline, with the garment decorated with beading. Taylor Twohig was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Kujat, sister of the bride; friends, Tess Brouwer, Alexis Waldrop, Laura Hardy, Emily Wendling; and cousins, Cheyenne Kujat and Kaylee Kujat. Flower girls were Kiah Ponce, sister of the bride, and Rebekah Helmuth, niece of the groom.

Christian Snider, friend of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were: Jesse Winkel, Jeremiah Winkel, brothers of the groom; Eli Binder, brother-in-law of the groom; Joseph Kujat, brother of the bride; and friends, Mitch Yoder, Brenden Bell, Andrew Fitzpatrick.Ring bearers were Rylee Ponce, brother of the bride, and Derik Binder, nephew of the groom. Andrew Kujat and Justus Stewart were ushers.

A reception was hosted at the home of the bride’s parents.

The couple honeymooned in Caucan, Mexico, and reside in Gra nd Blanc.
