Bad Axe Middle School hosts Career Day

BAD AXE - Several local professionals recently came to Bad Axe Middle School to talk to the students about their careers. The event was organized by school guidance counselor Karrie Foy who said the day’s purpose was to educate the students on career pathways and to explore careers.

Speakers included: Marianne Buza, Michigan State University-Extension Dairy Educator; Nick Checkley; insurance agent; Mimi Herrington; Bad Axe Area District Library Director; Kevin Klee, taxidermist; Abby Knoblock, Scheurer Wellness & Staff Development Coordinator; Robert Kubacki, Huron County Health Department Environmental Health Sanitarian II; Gary Lindquist; Scheurer Bio-Med Technician; John Miles, Huron Intermediate School District Hospitality & Food Services Program Instructor; Joe Pratt, Huron Intermediate School District School Social Worker; Brad Roth, construction tradesperson; Stacy Siever, occupational therapist; Cassie Sneller, crop consultant; Renee Stacer, Michigan State University-Extension Nutrition Educator; MacKenzie Sundblad, Huron County Community Foundation Executive Director; and Deb Walsh, Huron Intermediate School District Teacher Consultant.
