John Neeb, age 69, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

John was born May 15, 1949 in Bad Axe, son of the late Ralph and Kathleen (Simons) Neeb. He married Maryanne Turosky on December 24, 1979 in Bad Axe.

John graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1967. He graduated Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. In 1978, he graduated from Cooley Law School and then completed his Advanced Law studies in Corporations and Finance from Wayne State Law School.

He was a member of the Marco Island Presbyterian Church and a faithful attendee of the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church. He was the former Chairman of the Board of Millennium Industries Corporation, as well as General Counsel for Millennium Industries. He had a general law practice in Bad Axe and Harbor Beach, was assistant Plant Engineer at Active Industries in Elkton, an Industrial Engineer for the Bad Axe and Ubly Hamill Manufacturing, a former member of Thumb area Michigan Works!, former chairman of the Thumb District, Lake Huron Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, past President of the Harbor Beach Rotary Club, former member of the NRA, former member of the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, current member of the Gideons, former board member of the Harbor Beach Hospital, former Session member of the Harbor Beach Presbyterian Church, member of Huron Shrine Club, member of the Elf Khurafeh Shriners, Life Member of Masonic Lodge Hubbard Windsor 420 and many other organizations too numerous to mention.

John is survived by his wife, Maryanne Neeb of Bad Axe; three sons, Nicholas (Pauline) Neeb of Holt, Nathan (Brooke) Neeb of Newberry and John “B Jay” (Tara) Neeb III of Bay City; two daughters, Kala (Charles) Stevens of Bad Axe and Leah Neeb of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, William (Susie) Neeb of Flagstaff, Arizona; three sisters, Barb (Jim) Warschefsky of Stanton, Kathleen (Rodney) Gettel of Essexville and Martha (Fritz) Crisler of Ann Arbor; 10 grandchildren, Morgan, Oliver, Claire, Spencer, Evy, Atticus, Myles, Quinn, Haley and Maddyx.

Services were held at the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church in Bad Axe. Officiated by Rev. Jerry Sutton and Rev. Dave Clardie. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery.

Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe handled the arrangements.
