The Patriots relied on the strong pitching of Katie Engelhardt, timely hitting of Lauren Adam and Rylee Zimmer’s defense to secure the title. Engelhardt was nearly perfect in USA’s semifinal win over the Kingston Cardinals and continued her dominance in the finals. USA Head Coach Isaiah Gainforth was impressed by her performance.

“We’ll jump on her back and go as far as she wants to take us,” Gainforth said. “She’s locked in and competing. It was a thing of beauty watching her attack those hitters today.”
