CARO - The Michigan State Police (MSP) Caro Post announces a Citizens’ Academy, which will start on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 and end on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018. The seven-week, lecture-based academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement’s role in the community and get to know personnel at the Caro Post.

The seven-week academy will meet at the Tuscola Technology Center located at 1401 Cleaver Road in Caro on Monday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A graduation ceremony will be conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018.

You must be 18 or older to apply and applications will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 28, 2018. Individuals who are interested in attending the Citizens’ Academy should contact Trooper Nicole Dhooghe of the Caro Post at 989-673-2156 or via email at BeyerN@michigan.gov to receive an application.
