2018 Run Drugs Out Of Town FAN 5K Walk/Run, Sept. 8

SEBEWAING - The 2018 Run Drugs Out Of Town 5K Walk & 5K Run will be conducted on Saturday, Sept. 8, hosted at Bay Shore Camp, 450 N. Miller St. in Sebewaing. First Baptist Church, Bad Axe, Fall Kick Off, Sept. 9

BAD AXE - First Baptist Church of Bad Axe will be hosting its Fall Kick Off on Sunday, Sept. 9. There will be fun, a bounce house, Bible lessons and a potluck meal. Thumb Area MEA Retired meeting, Sept. 11

CASS CITY - Thumb Area MEA Retired will meet Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Charmont Restaurant in Cass City. There is a social hour at noon, where members may purchase their lunch. At 1 p.m., Debbie Palmer, a Tuscola County Health Department nurse, will provide information and answer questions about immunizations and services provided to senior citizens. Prayer fellowship, Sept. 12

ELKTON - The Elkton Prayer Fellowship will meet Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Elkton Missionary Church, 220 N. Main St., Elkton. Judy Willet, founder of the Elkton Prayer Fellowship, will be ministering in the subject: ‘How to Become Free.’ This includes freedom from fear, anxiety, insecurity, condemnation and much more. Judy has recorded musically with Henry Slaughter and written two books. She is married to James Willet, her husband of 53 years. She is the mother of four adult biological children and one adopted daughter. Rev. James and Judy Willet pastored Faith Gospel Tabernacle for 28 years. They still are involved in full-time ministry. The Elkton Prayer Fellowship is an interdenominational fellowship that meets the second Wednesday of each month, and includes songs of praise, a time of prayer, and drinks and muffins. Childcare will be provided.

Caseville thrift shop seeks volunteers

CASEVILLE - The Helping Hands Thrift Shop in Caseville is looking for volunteers to work in the store. Hours are flexible and volunteers receive “store bucks” at $2 per hour to use in the thrift shop.
