SUMMARY OF
UNOFFICIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
SEPTEMBER 5, 2017
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Harbor Beach
was held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at North Park Campground.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Booms.
Present: Capling, Kleinknecht, Swartz, Woodke, Mayor Booms,
Clerk Woycehoski and City Director Wruble
Absent: None
Council approved the Agenda with the addition of a Ribbon Cut-
ting Ceremony for the New Stage before Citizen Comment. Motion
carried. 5 yeas.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Council approved the August 21, 2017
Council meeting minutes, the August 28, 2017 Wastewater Commit-
tee meeting minutes, the August 28, 2017 DPW Committee meeting
minutes and the August 28, 2017 Administration Committee meet-
ing minutes with the following correction to the Administration Com-
mittee meeting minutes: The minutes should read Absent: Swartz
(with notice). Motion carried. 5 yeas.
APPROVAL OF BILLS: Council approved payment of the Sep-
tember 2017 bills in the amount of $305,283.63. Motion carried.
5 yeas.
Council approved payment of the J-Lyn Charters bill in the amount
of $1,840.00. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
Council approved payment of MML Liability and Property Pool bill
in the amount of $64,083.00. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
Council approved payment of Ferris & Schwedler PC bill in the
amount of $140.00. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
Council approved payment of the Meadowbrook Insurance Group
bill in the amount of $6,460.13. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new stage was held at this time.
Council thanked City Director Wruble and Rob Will for their ingenuity
and hard work in completing the stage project.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: Resolution # 2017-80, “Approve Purchasing Ef-
fluent Flow Meter for WWTP” was presented to Council. Council ad-
opted Resolution # 2017-80 as presented. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
Resolution # 2017-81, “Approve Purchasing Clarifier Exhaust Fan
for WWTP” was presented to Council. Council adopted Resolution #
2017-81 as presented. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
Council approved the use of Lincoln Park by Reuben Booms on
August 18, 2018. Motion carried. 5 yeas.
There being no further business, council adjourned the meeting
at 7:26 p.m.
