LARRY HAHN

1941-2018

Larry Hahn, age 77, of Sebewaing. In the early hours of December 30, 2018 Larry Lee Hahn extended his arms up to finish his final journey home.

Larry was born

August 10, 1941. He was the 13th child of Elmer and Rose (Gotham) Hahn. He grew up in the midst of a large family surrounded by brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and too many cousins to count.

He found great satisfaction working on the family farm and had dreams of being a farmer, but that wasn’t meant to be.

In June of 1961 he married Lynn (Brenner). They would marry again in March of 1978. They had three children in quick succession; Craig, Audrey, and Connie. Many years later, Timothy would follow.

Larry worked a few different jobs before ending up at the Village Of Sebewaing, DPW until his retirement.

Larry was a part of many organizations and had a great passion for a variety of things. He was proud to serve on the Sebewaing Fire Department from 1973 until 1996. He supported the March of Dimes and the United Way by volunteering of his time.

He was passionate about football and was a proud supporter of the USA football team and cheerleading squad. He was a skilled carpenter and found great satisfaction in crafting his projects in oak.

He was quick to anger and was one of the most stubborn men to encounter. He was not perfect but he was ours, and will be missed.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Craig (Roberta) Hahn of Painesville, Ohio, Audrey (Philip) Shaver of Freeland, Connie (Fredrick) Engelhardt of Sebewaing, and Tim (special friend Courtney Flanagan) Hahn of Sebewaing; brother, Allen (Karen) Hahn; eight grandchildren, James (special friend Heather) Hahn, Victoria (Ryan) Parker, Steven (Emily) Hahn, David (Rheanna) Rocha, Amanda (Scott) Weisenbach, Lyndsay (Joshua) Parker, Allison Engelhardt and Hanna Hahn; and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by 12 siblings.
