PIGEON – The Bad Axe boys and Cass City girls came away as the top teams, Tuesday, at the Laker Track & Field Invitational.
The Hatchet boys won a close competition, tallying 141 points, followed by Cass City (140), Ubly (137), Unionville-Sebewaing Area (71), Harbor Beach (17) and Elkton- Pigeon-Bay Port (8).

Ubly had Levi Peruski with wins in the 110 hurdles (16.80) and 300 hurdles (43.28), while Cole Hagen took the high jump (5-9).
USA’s 3,200 relay team of Bryce Langmaid, Ethan Liken, Ty Pavlichek and Dirk Rierson won in 9:27.50.
On the girls side, Cass City scored 129 points, followed by Bad Axe (73), Ubly (62), Harbor Beach (61), EPBP (40), USA (36).
Wins for the Hatchets came from Katherine Himmel in the 1,600 (6:08.82) and high jump (4-6).
For Ubly, Alexis Guigar won the 300 hurdles (52.29) and was a leg on two winning relay teams.
She teamed with Emily Greyerbiel, Abbie Guza and Lily Kieliszewski to win the 800 relay (2:04.88) and 1,600 relay (4:50.0).
Harbor Beach had several wins.
Makara Kramer won the 200 (28.52), 400 (1:03.01) and 100 hurdles (16.78).
Paige Anderson took the 800 (2:38.88) and Teagan Messing was tops in the pole vault (6-0).
USA had Taylin Sutherland win the long jump (14-3.75).
