EVELYN P. IDEN (JINKERSON)

EVELYN P. IDEN (JINKERSON) passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 after a short illness. Evelyn was born to the late Jack and Mary Jinkerson (Cadotte) in Chatham Ontario. Evelyn was united in marriage to her husband, Ralph, on June 30, 1962, and the couple was married for 60 years.

During her lifetime, Evelyn and Ralph were business owners, owning 2 separate businesses in Bad Axe during the 80’s, in which Evelyn was the operator of each of them. After that, she settled into her position with Quality Farm and Fleet, which became Tractor Supply in later years, where she enjoyed seeing each of her many customers and got to know the majority of them and their “family stories”. She faithfully listened to WLEW radio and always enjoyed listening to her husband Ralph on the radio. Throughout her lifetime, she taught many of Huron county residents, both young and old, how to create memory scrapbooks through countless classes she did for them as well as teaching otheryouthclassesinthe4Hprogram whenever called upon to do so. Evelyn was also involved with countless food drive efforts throughout her lifetime and was always eager to help those in need. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, gardening, and baking, but most of all, she loved spending as much time as possible with her always growing family. She loved all the family dinners and catching up with what everyone was doing. She was so very loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Ralph Iden; brothers, Gary Jinkerson and Cliff Jinkerson (and his special friend, Helen) of Chatham Ontario; sons, Craig (Lisa) Iden of Kinde, Randy (Laura) Iden of Bad Axe, and daughter, Roxanne (Frank) Czewski, of Newsoms VA; four nieces and nephew, 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many cousins in Canada. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Dorothy (Dot) Jinkerson.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Burial followed in Colfax Township Cemetery. Visitation was on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. or Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be offered to the Youth of Christ Bluewater Thumb Chapter or the Family Discretionary Fund. If you wish to offer your condolences to the Iden family, please go to www.kaufmanfuneralhome.com
